At its first Board Meeting of the year Imagine voted in its new slate of officers. Longtime supporter and board member Jeffrey Peris of Scotch Plains, who has held leadership roles in the pharmaceutical/health care industry, will serve as Vice Chair. Bob Koppel of Westfield, Executive Director Emeritus of the Reform Pension Board, will continue in his role as Board Treasurer, and Ron Zuzovsky of Mountainside, Founder of The ReSource Group, will continue as Board Secretary.
Former Chair and Founding Board Member John Toriello will continue to serve as Chair Emeritus for the coming year. “We’re so grateful for John’s leadership as Board Chair over the past 2 years and for serving on the board since our founding in 2011,” said Mary Robinson, Executive Director and Founder of Imagine. “He along with our other committed and hard working board members, staff, and volunteers have overseen the growth of Imagine from serving sixty children and adults our first year to now as we start our 10th year, having served over 800 families in our peer support groups, and thousands of individual adults and teens through our training and education programs. We are making progress towards a world where no child grieves alone. It is a privilege to work with this extraordinary group of leaders.”
Imagine offers grief and loss education and training to the community and free year-round grief support groups for children age 3-18 who have had a parent or brother or sister die. Concurrent groups are available for parents and guardians, and young adults 18-30. For more information please contact Imagine at 908-264-3100 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
