At Imagine, we believe that diversity, equity and inclusivity will enable us to more effectively execute our mission of supporting children and families coping with loss and fostering resiliency and emotional well-being for all those who grieve.  This is not one thing that we do, this is how we do everything we do.   

• We believe diversity brings unmeasurable value and richness to our experiences and our perspectives. Exposure to the richness of people’s  collective differences enables us to better grow and learn, as well as serve our participants and communities.  

• We believe in approaching our work of grief support, education and advocacy with an equitable lens. Not only will we ensure that everyone receives the same level of excellent support, access and education, but we will ensure that every child, family, school district and community partner who engages with Imagine will be a part of the process of defining what they need.   

• We believe in inclusion. Our employees, participants, volunteers and community must feel welcomed and know that they belong.  Imagine can be a home to those in grief and pain, and all those grieving should know they are welcome here, they belong here and they will be respected here.   

These beliefs become the ways in which we do everything we do, from outreach, to programming, to marketing, growth and partnerships.  We hold ourselves accountable to these beliefs through on-going examination of our practices and questioning of our methods, impact and results.
