Imagine provides peer grief group support to children and families experiencing the death of an immediate family member, whether it’s a parent or a sibling.
Imagine believes in the peer group support model to help families mourn through their loss with other families to help show them they are not alone.
For one family, in-person peer grief support groups are held every other week for one year.
For all interested families to attend a one hour orientation with Imagine’s Clinical Team to determine the needs of the family.
From there, families are assigned to a Night of Support where children and adults go into separate age-appropriate groups to receive support.
Virtual support is held on Zoom and is available for any family who would prefer to join in from any location while practicing social distancing. We provide break-out rooms for intimate discussions, nightly activities for children of all ages, and virtual facilitators and clinical staff to provide a digital safe, brave space for anyone coping with loss.
