Facilitator Training

Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older and must attend our three-day facilitator training. All potential volunteers are interviewed prior to registering for the training. Completion of training is not a guarantee you will be accepted as a facilitator.

The training is followed by an individual placement interview. Placements are made after considering schedules and the volunteer needs in the groups. After the training and if you are selected to be a facilitator, a background check will be performed before you begin volunteering.

For more information, complete the inquiry form or please contact Abigail Priece, LPC, Program Supervisor at or 908-264-3100.

Rabbi Earl Grollman
Grief Education Conference

This conference aims to explore grief from an intersectional lens and bring to light the experiences of grief from those less represented in mainstream grief research.

We will explore disenfranchised grief, grief that comes with a perceived stigma attached, and the grief of our children.

We will invite you to explore your own grief and your experiences grieving, while learning alongside others, exploring grief in many societal constructs.

We will hear from leaders of various faiths who share beliefs from their spiritual teachings both for supporting others and beliefs about grief itself.
