On Thursday, March 5, join Imagine for a meaningful conversation on how faith and spirituality intersect with grief and loss. Moderated by Minister Najiyyah Bailey, featuring panelists Marie Thompson, Reverend Alison V. Philip, Rabbi Victor Appell, Reverend Eyesha Marable, and Pastor Christopher Flynn. Panelists will share reflections, offer insight, and create space for thoughtful dialogue and hope. This event is free and open to the community.
Become a volunteer! Imagine’s volunteer facilitators come from all walks of life and no special background is required other than:
Our facilitators serve families without trying to fix, solve or give grief advice. Bilingual (Spanish/English) volunteers are needed. No prior experience is necessary. For more information contact Val Stierhoff at val@imaginenj.org.
The 13th Annual Greta’s Run will take place on Sunday, May 17, 2026 at Roosevelt Intermediate School in Westfield, NJ. The morning features a USATF-certified 5K at 9:00 AM, a Kids Fun Run at 10:00 AM, and a Memory Walk at 10:30 AM.
Founded in 2012 in memory of Greta Schoenemann, a Westfield High School freshman whose life was tragically cut short, Greta’s Run has become a meaningful community tradition. In 2019, the event was entrusted to Imagine, A Center for Coping with Loss, and continues with the support of the Schoenemann family and the Westfield community.
Last year, Greta’s Run raised over $250,000 to support Imagine’s free grief programs. This year, we aim to raise $300,000 to expand our Nights of Support and ensure even more families have access to care and connection.
Run. Walk. Remember. Make a difference.
